Here in Reno we will experience a true annular eclipse, or ring of fire on Sunday May 20 th I am intending to use this opportunity to align with the Sun Moon and the Earth. Also will be doing a community fire ceremony following the eclipse.
From
http://astrology.about.com/od/solarandlunareclipses/qt/solareclipse.htm The Sun-Moon are aligned at the New Moon , i n a restful, void like atmosphere of darkness. This eclipse brings the vitality of Sol into that magical void of possibility. The Sun is vitality, personal will, making this a highly charged, though internal moment. It's how we see ourselves (identity), and the shared reality. This brings big life changes, especially if it makes meaningful contact with your chart. The effects of the eclipse can linger for six months or more. Eclipses come in pairs (or trios), and in two weeks, there's a lunar eclipse to set in the changes. You may feel that something big is about to happen weeks before the date of the pair (or trio) of eclipses. Our most intimate cosmic bodies -- Sun, Moon and Earth -- are in synch, clicking into place for a new beginning. What will be eclipsed in your life?
The eclipse will appear at different times in different locations. The table below gives the predicted times for the events for selected locations in North America. First contact is when the edge of the moon first touches the edge of the sun . Second contact is when the disk of the moon is entirely in front of the sun and moving inward. Third contact is when the moon touches the edge of the sun as it begins to pass off the solar disk. Fourth contact is when the moon is completely off the sun. Locations in red will experience a true annular eclipse, a ring of fire; the other areas will see only a partial eclipse.
